For more than 200 years, Presbyterians have responded to the call of Jesus Christ by proclaiming and living out our faith, laboring with love and energy to promote God’s justice in the world.

Presbyterian Mission is the national ministry arm of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). We joyfully partner with congregations, mid councils, worshiping communities, mission networks and many other groups to nurture and support Christ’s disciples wherever the Holy Spirit leads, and the General Assembly directs us.

In Matthew 25:31–46, Jesus calls us to serve with and for “the least of these” — not as a group to be pitied, but as people who are deeply loved by Jesus. Convicted by this passage, both the 222nd and 223rd General Assemblies exhorted the PC(USA) to act boldly and compassionately to serve people who are hungry, oppressed, imprisoned or poor. The Matthew 25 vision is the Biblical, theological and ecclesial foundation for our tri-fold mission focus – building congregational vitality, dismantling structural racism and eradicating systemic poverty.

We have listened for God’s voice and to God’s people. We are envisioning a future for the mission agency that will help further embody the Matthew 25 priorities across the denomination and better serve the church and world.
